Millennial and Gen Z women and girls are facing obstacles and opportunities for which they have no paradigm. We work in a gig economy, and many of us are entrepreneurs or content creators, a world we would rather enter than fight for equal pay in the workforce. We are trying to find a way to approach mental health and self-care as a priority. More than ever, we are family caregivers for our parents who are living longer and with less money. We have marched, but we will continue to need new solutions and possibilities. These are the #Boldgirls, and this is a space for us to be resources for each other.
When the power of social media and the internet can be harnessed, the ability to cast a net spanning wider than ever before is at hand.
We will cast this net for Millennial and Gen Z women. We need to hear from each other. This app will do many things: sell designs and items from Got It Done Gal and other content creators in our midst. It will provide space to ask questions that other #Boldgirls can answer. We will provide profiles of our own members and their businesses or content, and we will help each other expand. We will hold events in different cities all over the world. We will also seek partnerships that will be helpful in empowering #Boldgirls. Rather than just provide links to news stories, we will take cues from within. However, we will provide discounts and deals on resources that we do find helpful. We will share resources and we will create them.
