This handy tool tidies useless options on your Windows Explorer desktop menus but overlooks some other areas. An ultrasimple application, Mmm lets you configure every right-click context menu that appears on your desktop. To access its basic interface, just right-click on an icon or anywhere on the desktop, then click on the colored bar placed along the left side of the menu. From there you can drag and drop any menu item into either the hidden area, where they won't show at all or in the rarely used category, which becomes a quick submenu. On the downside, Mmm doesn't configure the menus in the Start menu, as it states, and it overlooks the system tray menus as well. Still, this software is free and does a good job at handling cluttered desktop context menus.Publisher's description
From HACE :Is your windows context-menu growing all out of proportions? Every program you install on your system seems to add an item or two to this menu. Many of them you never use. Some you use sometimes. And a few you use often. Use this utility to customize your windows menus. Remove menu-items you never use. Put rarely used functions out on a sub-menu. Keep only those functions you often use in a small, tidy base menu. Just drag and drop the menu-items where you want them to go.

Version: Mmm 2.02
"Great idea, but the free version is junk."
Pros: This version is free.
Cool idea...everyone needs to clean they right-click context menus from time to time.
Cons: The free version only lets you deal with the Explorer right-click context menu. You have to buy the MMM+ version to get support for the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express right-click context menus.

"Intuitive! Someone at HACE Software was thinking up good things..."
Pros: I'm a bit anal retentive about my computer. I hate it when core functionality (such as context sensitive menu items) lies out of my reach without any extent of expediency, yet every application installer under the sun modifies this aspect of the OS. I began looking for a way to streamline this outta control nuisance - I know exactly how I want my workstation to perform. Google damn near failed me. I ran across tons of registry ?hacks? but nothing very intuitive or that I could pass on to grandma. This app, though, when used in conjunction with Folder Options / File Types, permits users to configure every visible aspect of their context menus (this app) in XP along with the handlers for "Edit," "Preview," et al. Worth a try.
Cons: Too colorful for my tastes.
