  Pros

  Simple, clean, does what it says. Windows 7 Search wastes more screen space than this takes up. FREEEE! Thank you developers.

  Cons

  I haven't figured out how to search for (only) File Folders. I can search for file extensions (just *.txt and so on) but limiting it to just folders is a no go. Pretty minor, it still shows them, but I think it would save time to be able to limit it.

  Summary

  Was good for previous versions of Windows. Given recent "improvements" (BUGS) it is necessary for current ones.

  Pros

  This was the best alternative I could find to the unreliable Windows 7 search. Quickly finds text in file contents.

  Cons

  Wish it had a folder tree view or worked inside Windows Explorer.

  It's like search used to be in the good old days!

  Cons

  The Dates preferences seem to be preserved from one search to the next. Even if you click the 'Clear All' button, you have to do a search with the clear settings before these are stored. I had expected any new search to have clear Dates settings.

  Summary

  Very good - far better than the built-in Search in Windows 7 - which I have removed !

  Easy to use but powerful Comprehensive features

  Summary

  The software has many capabilities from a simple 'characters in file name' search to pattern matching within files and other things I have not used but others might. Can't fault the product - it is unobtrusive - it only runs when you want it to and doesn't interfere with anything and has no system overheads unlike NTFS indexing does.
