Players who got to enjoy the game before its servers went dark generally liked the core gameplay and the authentic rosters, teams and kits pulled from real-world soccer at the time.

What The Community Is Saying

The Highs

The Lows

The dominant complaint by far is that the game no longer works: people report endless connection loops and an inability to reach the servers at all, since EA has since shut down the backend it depended on.

The Verdict

Treat this as effectively discontinued: the online mode people played it for relied on servers EA has since turned off, so don't expect it to function today.
