LogonStudio is another entry in the excellent line of environment-controlling programs from Stardock. Although it's easy to swap in a new background wallpaper onto your screen, the "Log In" screen is another story. This app makes it just as easy to customize that screen, too.
LogonStudio Vista comes with four main options: Load, Download, Create, and Upload. Load lets you use Stardock's theme packages, while Download takes users to Stardock's WinCustomize.com community, where they can download free background images. Create lets you load a standard image format, like JPEG, into the program's database, and Upload takes users to WinCustomize.com to share their designs with others. The layout is familiar and basic, with the options in the narrow left nav and the main window filled with thumbnails. The app comes with four extra backgrounds to get you started.
We found the process to get a basic JPEG image onto our screen to be a bit convoluted, with the program needing the image to be loaded via the Create option, but once there it was easy to use. The option labels are a bit confusing, but other than that this is a fairly reasonable piece of freeware for those who want to doll up their Vista log-in screens.

"An excellent program as always.."And now for Vista!""
Pros: Simple, easy, and fun to use program. The user interface is easy to understand, and the window is resizable to save on desktop space.
You can download skins from the website, or create one of your own, or even upload some of your own skins to share.Cons: You can't customize other areas of the boot screen, such as relocate where the user picture and password box appears, or change the font of the text like you could in the XP version. But that's because Vista and XP differ in that area..
Summary: I've used LogonStudio alot in Windows XP, even back in the days of Windows 2000, 98.
It has always proven to be a safe and reliable program to use..and fun.
And I can enjoy my new "personalized" logonscreen every time I turn on my computer..and I can always change it again later!
One of the few, "proven" programs that offer a fun and easy way to customize the windows logon screen, and I will have this program installed when it is available for the next windows desktop, Windows 7.
May I also recommend Bootskin Vista. -

Pros: Does what it says; It changes the default logon screen to any picture you want!

"Perfect! Exactly what I wanted!!!"
Pros: It does what it says. Nothing more, nothing less!
Quick and easy to install.

"Great for Personalization"
Pros: Very easy to use - You can use your own pictures - No bloatware or ads - Small, low resource program - Does not need to run in back ground like other Stardock software!
Cons: When you have a picture you want to use, make sure it's the same resolution or higher of your monitor, the picture will be stretched if you use a resolution lower that your monitor. Not really the programs fault.
Summary: Great program, I recommend it for personalization!

Pros: You can use your own pictures as a logon logo.
Cons: You need to use pictures that are larger, or the picture stretches out.
Summary: I love the software & if I could afford it, I'd buy it, instead of just using the freeware version.

Pros: This is a really a great program to download. It spruces up your login, is very easy to use and is a quick download. Download this now.
Cons: The program won't let me use my saved pictures, but the pictures from the website are really cool.

"Great, Easy to use product"
Pros: This product does what it says it will. It changes the default logon screen to any picture you want, both the background image and your personal icon.
Cons: Have not tried it with multiple profiles so I'm not sure if it changes all the profile icons. With my computer if it ever goes to sleep because of inactivity it pops up with a message that has no meaning except to say some ( continued below).....
Summary: (continued from above).....except to say some random file cannot be found. This is unimportant except for while the message is up I cannot see my pointer on the screen unless it is over the pop up message. I am not sure if this is because I am using cursurfx or not though....
Bottom line-
