This nifty screensaver sets your desktop ablaze. When you fire up Fantastic Flame Screensaver (no pun intended), each item on your desktop--including open windows on the taskbar--appears to catch on fire, glowing and emitting a smoke effect. The crackling and popping sounds are right on the money. Plenty of backgrounds and flame styles come included, and you can set ablaze any other image you choose. The feature-packed, well-organized Preferences window lets you alter the speed, spire length, and flame intensity, change the wind direction, and choose how quickly the flames fade out on exit. You can launch the screensaver with the system-tray icon or a hot key. Pressing the Enter key captures a picture of your desktop without exiting the screensaver. We think Fantastic Flame Screensaver is a great download for novelty value alone, and though it's a bit pricey at $20, its outstanding features and slick execution make it an attractive buy.Publisher's description
From Laconic Software :Watching fire is both exciting and dangerous. People love it. There is some pre-historic magic in fire. Fantastic Flame Screensaver delivers the excitement of a real-life fire experience direct to your computer desktop. Just leave your mouse for a while, sit back and watch. The desktop dims out and starts to glow ardent orange, creating a glorious effect along with the licking flames. The flames are curling up and dancing on the desktop icons and open windows as if they were wooden logs in the fireplace. It is also possible to bring up some awesome live flaming image onto the display. There are lots of nice samples (Zodiac signs, movie and game posters, Fantasy pictures) come included. Discover beautiful flames to relax by, with the cracking sound of a real fire and the melody of your favorite song.

Version: Fantastic Flame Screensaver 6.31
"Lots of options, including your own."
Pros: Ease of use, from newbies up to expert's. Able to use your own images. As well ascolor choices, gamma setting's, flame strength, with windpower and directions. custom colors too.
Cons: should have options of order .which flame is coming up next and change when and where. Unless it's there and I havent found it. Better directions on how to choose flames and other options. I did mine by guessing
Summary: All in all a good program, with plenty of options to play with I plyed around with it for at least an hour, deciding how I wanted it to show. It's fun to play around on this program that I have recomended it to family and friends alike!
