• Caution: Comes with added malware!

  Since it came bundled with malware, I uninstalled it immediately.

  Cons

  This download from CNet installed some nasty malware that took a long time to remove. I will not be downlaoding any other software from this site.

  Download tries to get you to accept a bunch of crap...decline them all. Ridiculously slow.

  Summary

  Instead, use HD Tune which accurately benchmarks flash speed and has fast error checking.

  Seems too work after first install and tested usb drive.

  Seems too work after first install, but would not work on another user. Attempted to repair, uninstall and reinstall but would no longer without error messages. This program is a 'beta' not fully debugged. Runs very slow

  This program is not compatible with Win 7 x64 according to win 7 troubleshooter. Impossible to get to work correctly for all users. Worked first time on one user only. Nice beta program but its too buggy.

  Easy to install and use, somewhat intuitive.

  Cons

  Takes a long time, about 15 min for 1.8G flash drive. Can't tell how many retries being done or what patterns tested. It would be nice if this info was provided.

  It's very quick and to the point. Does excellent scans and keeps you informed the whole time.

  Didn't have an option to run the test a specified number of times. It may have it, but I didn't see it on the screen.

  Summary

  This is a must-have if you purchase a new flash drive of any sort. I had one 2GB thumb drive that had a bad spot at 1.7GB. I lost everything on it. Had I used this utility first, that would have been a very different story. Having stepped on that rake before, I now run this utility a couple of times on every new flash device I purchase, and recommend it to all my friends.
