Wise Disk Cleaner is a free disk utility designed to help you keep your disk clean by deleting unnecessary files. Usually, these unnecessary or junk files appear as the results of program incomplete uninstallers, temporary Internet Files, etc. It is best if these files are wiped out from time to time, since they may, at some point, use a considerable amount of space on your drives.

Wise Disk Cleaner, with its intuitive and easy to use interface, helps you quickly wipe out all the junk files. There are two ways in which you can do that. If you are a beginner, you may use the wizard and use the program's default settings in order to clean-up your system. In you are an advanced user, you can customize the operations: you can manually select folders to be cleaned-up, you can erase files with certain extensions, exclude folders from the scan. When deleting file, you can choose to erase them forever, or, in case you are not sure about them, you can delete them to Recycle Bin. Using the program is indeed easy. It also works fast when both scanning for files and deleting files.

Common Cleaner Works but Advanced Cleaner Does NOT

The Common Cleaner seems to find stuff that CCleaner misses.
Cons
The Advanced Cleaner ALWAYS finds 249mb of stuff to clean but never removes it. I've tried running the program as Administrator and not and the 249mb is always there even after a reboot.

Excellent product, I use it in conjunction with ccleaner. Protip: whenever you download anything from cnet.com or download.com, always click on "Secure Download" under the the green "Download Now" box. If you use the green "Download Now" box, you get the bundled software that cnet sticks with its installer, and is the junk software that everyone complains about. This is something cnet surreptitiously does to make money, and is not the fault of the software providers.

None that I've seen.

In my opinion, the BEST Cleaner there is...free or buy.

Cleans Opera 12, IE8, windows xp temp files, others, very fast.....even cleans the MS DOMStore Cookies in IE !! Also cleans most all applications anyone could ever have on the computer,,plus cleans the C Drive (or any other as you set it) of all temp files and junk files.

None as yet. Been using this for months and months.
Summary
I use an older Dell computer tower, xp, sp3, 256 meg RAM. I also use CCleaner, Opera 12, and IE8. I use the Wise Registry Cleaner, Wise Program Uninstaller, and the Disk Cleaner...it has a Great Defragger also.

This is a great program. I used to use Wise Care 365 but I switched to this because you can schedule the common cleaner not just the checkup. Overall if you want to save space this is great. I like it better than CCleaner because it has support for more of my applications.

Lets the Bing search/conduit browser hijacking software install with out users knowledge. This is incredibly stupid and I can't believe that a trusted site such as cnet would allow software on their site to include known spyware and malware to piggy back on a disk cleaner of all programs. This isn't a horrible because the conduit software is rather easy to find and remove from my computer but none the less the potential for identity theft and numerous other highly illegal activities if this software isn't quickly noticed is alarming.
Summary
Good program that is fast and easy to use but the addition of known unethical third-party software is a deal breaker for me. Drop the pap and i would keep and purchase the upgraded version. But why would I give my debit card number to a company that intentionally bundles their software with malware and spyware programs.
