My name is David Hoffmann. I am a travel host, producer and social media influencer. I started Davidsbeenhere.com because I believe that so much of what we are is influenced by where weve been in the world.
Davids Been Here is a digital media company meant to supply plenty of travel inspiration and advice. To date, Ive hosted over 1,000 travel episodes across 6 continents. I am also a digital influencer, collaborating with travel and lifestyle brands that I think would resonate with my audiences.
Ive been named as one of the Top 10 Best Travel Videographers by USA Today and Top 10 Travel Video Sites by OOAworld. Plans for the future include fueling your wanderlust one country at a time.
How I Started Davids Been Here
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida to parents of Italian and Hungarian decent. From an early age I learned to embrace my familys diverse cultures and traditions, which eventually lead to curiosity about other countries, and ultimately to my love affair with planning my own solo adventures around the world. Ive always been attracted to destinations that arent on everyones bucket list.
During my high school and college years I found myself traveling abroad during every break, visiting friends and family. At the University of Miami I was studying Entrepreneurship and working as a real estate agent full time. In the summer leading into my senior year I decided that a 9-5 lifestyle wasnt my path. There was a whole world out there and I wasnt about to sit in an office for the rest of my life.
That summer (2007) I created Davidsbeenhere.com and I hired my cinematographer (who still travels with me). After graduation in May 2008, we set out on a two year adventure filming a staggering 500 episodes in 22 countries. The rest is history.

Most of my travel is for clients who sponsor web show episodes and digital content on my social medias and blog. I have a substantial reach through my video distribution networks (YouTube, Daily Motion, Vessel, Vid.Me USA Today and more)
We pride ourselves on consistent, high-quality content and knowledge of current travel trends that I share with my audiences. Weve had amazing opportunities to produce television segments, branded films, stunning photography and several hundred articles.
