doPDF is a fairly basic program that's utterly bereft of features beyond its main function: to let users create PDF documents from within any program using the native Print option. Along with whatever printer you've got hooked up that shows up in the Print dialog box, doPDF adds an eponymous option. Select it, hit print, and you get the chance to change the name of the PDF you're creating. Hit enter and the PDF gets created, then automatically opens for you to proofread it.
Lacking any customization features and the control panel to manage them, doPDF is definitely meant for fast PDF creation with a minimum of fuss. It does support a multitude of languages, a minor feature except to those who don't use English as their primary language. One benefit of not having any major features is that doPDF takes up almost no RAM.
doPDF gives a simple output dialog box for altering the name and saving location of the PDF, and by clicking on Advanced Options, users can manually adjust the resolution of the PDF they're creating. However, unless you know precisely how resolution changes will affect the size of your PDF, this can be a bit tricky. doPDF is great for those not looking for a lot of a options, but for any project requiring a bit more finesse, it's worth looking at the competition.

This software version | All versions -
Version: doPDF 6 build 257
Pros: Nice little utility for creating PDF file, runs in the background.
Cons: Weak GUI, others do it better.
-
Version: doPDF 6 build 257
"Provides adequate quality & conversion of printed document."
Pros: Convenient integration with printing engine on behalf of the applications.
-
Version: doPDF 6 build 257
"Great for texrt documents but iffy for graphics"
Pros: I like that it's fast and small and that it'll turn some MS Word docs into 5-kb files instead of the 85-kb files that Adobe Acrobat creates. I like that it allows me to choose the East Asian languages I want supported rather than assuming I want all of them, the way Adobe Acrobat does. I like that it's free.
Cons: What is there not to like about this software? I don't see how anyone can complain about what it does not do. It's not as if anyone has not got what they paid for. I love freeware that works. This freeware works. It doesn't do everything that Adobe Acrobat or other full-featured PDF creators do, but they cost lots of money.
One thing that would make this software and Adobe Acrobat better values is the ability to tell the program whether the document to be turned into a PDF file contains graphics plus text or just text (formatted or unformatted). That option would lead to using different program modules.
