If you're tired of restoring your display settings every time the kids use the computer, this simple application can help. XP Keep per User Display Settings doesn't have an interface and runs in the background. It allows multiple users to configure and maintain their own display settings for screen resolution, color depth, and refresh rate. When the user logs in, the computer will use the display settings specific to that user. XP Keep per User Display Settings uses a small amount of RAM and doesn't affect other programs running on your system. This small utility is quite handy for public and private PCs with multiple users, and, best of all, it's free.

This applet allows each separate user of a Windows XP computer to have her/his separate settings for the display resolution, color depth, and refresh rate. When Fast User Switching is used, the display settings change automatically when switching among users. This brings to XP a feature that was much relied upon in home environments running Windows 9x/ME.

Version: XP Keep per User Display Settings 1.1

"An excellent program to solve Microsoft's User Graphics Settings problem."

Pros: This program works great, and solves the User Graphics Setting ignored in Windows XP. This is a wonderful program and very easy to use (it works automatically). Although it is freeware, the author deserves some recognition (ie. financial contribution) for this well-written program.

Summary: Just install and log off then back on. It automatically remembers your display settings for your account.
