Writer is a small word processor that allows you to create basic documents with the minimum of effort. The interface has been designed to be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible, allowing you to work on your document without interruption. It has several advanced features such as text manipulation tools, HTML and RTF support, a Spell Checker (On Mac OS 10.2 and higher), automatic backups and much more.

What's new in this version: Writer 3 boasts many new features and fixes from Writer 2.8. The main new features are:
