From PC Accountant :Visual ProBooks is a full featured integrated accounting system for small to medium-sized businesses. The system includes Sales, inventory, manufacturing, and job costing features in addition to standard GL, AR, AP, Purchase, PO's, Checkwriting and Payroll. Assemblies, kits, productions requirements reporting, purchase orders, reorder, sales returns, sales analysis reporting, auto billing, group billing are all included. Multiple price levels and pricing based on Price Groups or even individual customers are supported. Visual ProBooks includes a system manager, manages multiple sets of books, includes import and export functionalities, a report writer.

Version: Visual ProBooks 2002
Pros: It only has one pro,
It was free!!!
Cons: The user interface is very dated, the software asks for way too much info and it is very difficult to use unless you are a fully qualyfied CPA. Having microsoft accreditation in software programming would also be advantageous when using this software and I have no problem at all in saying - DON'T try this it stinks....

"very archaic win3.0 setup and program display"
Pros: it was free
Cons: not very user friendly
too many seperate entry areas to create a useable client account and A/R
not recommended unless you really enjoyed your accounting 101 class from college

"Demo only version, not very good"
Summary: Under WinXP 2002 SP1, it took 4 tries to set up. The program is also hobbled, and is only a demo version, not the freeware version it claims to be.
