From Xerxes Engineering:
The Virtual Card app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch is the only banking app available for managing your virtual credit card numbers.Protect yourself from credit card fraud and identity theft by never giving your credit card number to anyone.Bank of America, Citi Cards, and Discover Card each offer free services to generate disposable credit card numbers for an added level of protection when making purchases with your credit card online, over the phone, or by mail.Using a virtual card protects your real credit card information, and because a virtual card can only be used by the original merchant where the virtual card is charged, it reduces the risk of fraudulent charges if your information is stolen from a merchant.Virtual Card works with each of these services to allow you secure mobile access to generate virtual card numbers, view and modify existing virtual card numbers, and view past transactions.Use Virtual Card to create virtual cards when shopping on your mobile device or over the phone. The virtual account number and other information can be copied from the app and pasted directly into a website or another app.Virtual Card does not save or log any information related to your banking login, credit card account, or virtual cards. Your bank login is passed directly to your bank over a secure, encrypted connection using SSL just like when you use your bank's website and is used only for the duration of your session. Your bank login is never saved on your mobile device.
