You'll find this user-friendly toolbox of optimizing utilities a handy package if you're a home user with low-security issues. Nicely designed with quick performance, this bundle of goodies will be appropriate for most noncommercial system users.
Ultimate Windows Tweaker launches a simple but nicely designed interface for selecting optimization options for your system. It offers a two-paned window: the left, vertical pane lists the categories of options, and the right, larger pane displays the check boxes and drop-down menus associated with the category selected in the vertical pane. This free toolbox performed nicely in our tests. The check-box format for selecting options to activate or disable is straightforward and easy to understand, and leaves behind any ambiguity that a novice might encounter in a more robust toolbox. The categories for options follow a logical arrangement suitable for most home users: system information, personalization, user accounts and user account control, system performance, security settings, network tweaks, Internet Explorer, and more. We liked the buttons included with each option category for Create Checkpoint and Restore Defaults, which help to reassure novices that any changes can be reversed.
Intermediate and experienced users will probably want a more robust optimizer with more bells and whistles, but this is a good introductory toolbox that offers a strong string of fundamental Windows tweaks that any user should be familiar with.

Nice to get rid of those ugly shortcut arrow, put it an all my computers and have been using it ever since IE6. works on my older XP which can not use IE9 and worked on Vista and as well on W7.
Cons
Have not found any whatsoever, Just need to learn how to use all it's features rather than complain.
Summary
If it wreaked havoc with your Computer you probably did not learn how to use it's features. No need to use some of the security if you are not familiar with it.

This is mis-advertised software. It's not checked out not ready for WinVista nor Win7. Error message "Unhandled exception..."

There are numerous forum postings about this. It is unconscionable to release such crappy software. Someone needs to tweak the Windows Club right in the bum.

Has some great ideas to tweak your Windows system. Nice interface. Does let you fix things if they don't work so well.

It wreaked havoc with my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit system. Restarts became a chore on the Shut Down part. I must admit that I tried many things at once and cannot narrow down what caused the problem. I will not be trying it again soon.
Summary
I believe that the program has promise, but I also believe that programmers should run their own testing and not throw something out there for feedback and troubleshooting.
But free software is far from the only type of programming that does this. So I would not fault them too badly. -

I downloaded what was supposed to be Ultimate Windows Tweaker v2.2, but run it and it's a CNET Downloader that will "Download and Install the Program." NO! HELL EFFING NO! I've ALREADY tried to download the program. WHY DIDN'T I GET IT THEN?!?!?

Overall easy to use (for experienced users), with many options for the individual sections of Windows you want to tweak.
Cons
Some of the sections are complex and may be hard to tweak for unexperienced or untrained users.You need to be really sure of what you're turning on or off.
Summary
Would recommend this program for anyone who wants to give their Windows that extra something, or just wants it to run better, safer and a little bit faster.
