It incorporates Trend Micro antivirus technology tailored to defend against the latest mobile threats, including viruses and other malware. In addition to its antivirus scanner, Mobile Security also allows users to filter unwanted SMS messages and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Push messages, which can initiate the delivery of unwanted content and applications.

Version 3 adds a robust firewall that can filter network communication based on predefined protection levels and user-defined filtering rules.
