CNET Editors' review
We find to-do lists to be one of the easiest ways to increase our productivity and ensure that everything gets done. We typically go for a notepad and pen, but there are definite advantages to using software instead: it's easier to reorder and prioritize tasks and keep the list looking neat and clean. TodoPlus is a simple program that really only does one thing -- creates to-do lists -- and does it well. We think it's a great choice if you're looking for a straightforward way to organize your tasks.
TodoPlus has a plain and intuitive interface, with a toolbar across the top that gives you access to its features. TodoPlus lets you create separate files in order to keep tasks for specific projects separate, which we liked. Adding a new task is simply a matter of clicking the appropriate button to insert it above or below any existing task, and it's easy to move tasks up and down within the list. We especially liked the fact that you can create new tasks using text stored in the clipboard by simply clicking a toolbar button. You can also create multiple levels of subtasks, which is a great way to keep things organized. When a task is complete, simply check the box next to it, and TodoPlus grays it out. You can also assign stars to particularly important tasks, and these tasks can be hidden and unhidden with a button on the toolbar. We found the program to be quite easy to use, but the HTML Help file was thorough and included a quick start guide. Overall, TodoPlus isn't fancy, but it proved to be an especially effective way of keeping track of important tasks.
TodoPlus installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal.

"where's the due date"
Version: TodoPlus 1.840
Pros
Easy enough to figure out
Cons
Needs more fields. It lacks the ability (from what I could figure out) to add a due date for tasks and to categorize them. The priority rankings are limited (it's either a "no star" or "one star"). It uses 7 times as much memory as another task manager software, What To Do, which has all of the things I listed above.
Summary
Needs more fields.
