Highly configurable and easy to use, Talking Reminder makes an amusing substitute for more traditional PIMs. The skinnable, calendar-based interface lets you quickly create and edit events. Thanks to an exhaustive list of preset event types, such as Birthday, Phone Call, and Appointment, adding a reminder takes just seconds. You can set events to recur at daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly intervals. To move an event from one date to another, simply drag and drop the icon on the calendar. When an alarm goes off, Talking Reminder can send an e-mail or execute a program. Of course, it also speaks the name and details of your event, though unfortunately this feature relies on the robotic Windows voice. On the other hand, the program doesn't take much memory. All in all, Talking Reminder should satisfy home users with whimsical tastes.Publisher's description
From Software River Solutions :Talking Reminder will keep track of your important events and remind you about them using speech, sound, alert window, email, or file execution. Talking Reminder is completely customizable to fit your needs. It will try to alert you using its standard alert window several times and if you are not around to acknowledge an event, it can send you an e-mail to make sure you get the message. Version 2.0 added new printing and backup capabilities.

Version: Talking Reminder 2
"Useful and with many edible functions"
Pros: talking reminder comes in a clear and easily understandable outfit. Despite from other reminder programs it is almost at once ready to use. I recognized no flaws or mistakes in the program. Many things edible. It is worth a try!
Cons: The trial of 14 days is to short for a reminder software. You wouldn't forget too much in just two weeks. 50 days or so would have been convenient. Although I found the program useful 30$ is just too much. To be honest: I did not use the talking function though, but even without "talking": still it would be a good one!

Summary: It could have more features and more friendly user interface for easy use. I would love to have the flexibility on reminder message when it popup. Overall, good reminder soft. When it becomes more user friendly, I would consider buying the full vers... read more >>
