From TraiTel Telecommunications :TTMessenger is a multi purpose software solution that allows people to talk for "free" AND make paid phone calls (from just $2c a minute), free video calls, send faxes (from $8c per page), send and receive text messages (SMS from $0c in the US & from $9c to other countries) and also save documents to PDF. You can take advantage of the features from any location that has Internet access (with the exception to PDF saving that is not reliant on the internet). By using it you will save money, time and will be able to do your work remotely as if you were sitting in the office. None of the features expire or diminish in usability over time. The PDF creation tool works without registration or restrictions. To make calls, send faxes or text messages you will need to quickly register on line - the registration takes less than 30 seconds and you are not asked to put credit on your account. TTMessenger is small in size (only 2MB) but is big on features and unbeatable on performance.

Pros: Supposedly "free."
Cons: Don't know how this one got by initial screening. The whole thing is a pain in the butt. It's supposed to be a "free" program, but the disclaimer talks about forms of payment, etc. When you try to register (which also isn't supposed to be required or involved), the "30-second" process takes at least ten minutes through an agonizingly slow server; lord only knows what the 60-second ("full") process would entail. They ask you to create a user name and password, then somewhere along the line they tell you they've e-mailed these items to you. Okay, you figure you've waded through enough crap and maybe you'll be able to do something -- no, what the e-mail doesn't provide, and what isn't mentioned or explained anywhere else that I could find, is the need for a "serial key"; you can't use the program without it, but who the hell knows where it is?
Bottom line: try a suppository instead.

Pros: I've tested dozens of PDF programs in the past and none of them (even the ones that cost) give a PDF that is so small and consistent from "any application" through the printer driver that gets installed. Also, sending a fax couldn't be easier and cheaper, I sent one and got a sent response within less than 3 minutes.
Cons: Needs adobe acrobat installed to preview the faxes.

Pros: Best piece of software I've tried in aaaages! - what does it NOT do? It does everything. Phone calls are nice and clear, pdfs are super easy to do, text messages get delivered instantly and the PBX function is just great! I've got 3 PCs at home and one in the office - we can all talk at the same time and choose our destination by using an extension. A few more weeks of testing this out and I'm selling my hardware PBX!
Cons: One on one video is great, but tried it in a conference and it just didn't work.

Pros: WOw again! I can't believe how easy it was to install! Serial key - what serial key? ..NONE was needed, it just installed and started working right away! Its a sexy piece of software and I love the interface, even more I like the way that SMS are handled - sending text messages is a breeze AND soo cheap too! Fax I don't care about but seems to be nice, phone also looks nice - but I AM on dial up, can't wait to go to the office tomorrow and try it from there.. The 60 second sign up was quick - and the main reason for me writing this? These guys put a £pound£ on my account! ..Ok, actually it was more like a $1. I really think its a great piece of software and I'm still scratching my head in disbelief trying to figure out how these guys packed everything into a 2Mb file!
Cons: Granted that its fairly easy to figure out - but if you get confused, there's NO help file!
