"Really good screenwriting software & cost effective"

Pros
Has all the basic tools to format a decent and fairly professionally written screenplay at a discounted price. Great for students on a budget.
Cons
What the heck happened to Sophocles? Seems like the company went extinct after 2003. I went to install software on a new computer and thought I could use my unlock code that I received when I purchased it years ago but I get an error page.
Summary
Sophocles was a truly effective screenwriting software, it should be revived. Or at least let those of us who had purchased the software previously know how we can unlock the software so we don't keep getting that Trial Version.

Incredibly powerful screenwriting software, meets format standards, yet user flexible to change parameters (handy for novels); has easy drag and drop scenes, easy re-characterize from dialog to action. It has scene notes, business tools, and more.

They email the activation code. It works well. They respond to serious issues queries there too.
Limited support, but the software has a lot of help built-in.Summary
Get it now, don't wait. It's the best-ever (IMHO) easy to work with and move scenes around, see all the scenes or characters on the sidebar, collapse and expand, drag and drop, full featured screenwriting program. Many production companies even accept its file format for submissions! It is so strong, that I use it for any and all writings, including novels! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

provides sample scripts of movie fiction, useful for beginners, plus a number of good tools for the more experienced.
Cons
So far, after an hour or so playing with the program, my only beef is that no samples were provided of documentary writing, which is what I want the program for.
Summary
This program is designed for movie script writers: it provides tools to make the job easier, It has a nice interface, and looks good and professional. Although I have not yet tried using it for real, it looks as if it will be nice to use. All I need now is another program to inspire me with a good idea for a script!

Pros
This makes writing a screenplay the easiest thing in the world. I contains just about every feature you would ever want in writing software, from characters to budgets, to shooting schedules.
Cons
The only thing that I dislike is their security feature. I purchased this product seven years ago, but when I have to change PCs, the same key doesn't work on the new PC.
Summary
The software is exceptionally intuitive and simple to learn. It is light years superior to the competition. The price is more than competitive and allows for much better productivity.

Besides the name it works just as promised, formats beautifully, exports in pdf, will import also, track characters and the beta which you can try has production data too.

Pros
It's a full-featured application, not merely a text editor.
Allows you to break up scenes into smaller units; this really helps me organize my ideas in the early drafts.
Allows me to add notes for scenes which I can use later when I'm revising.
