Word processors work wonderfully, right up until the time you need to draw a diagram to illustrate your work. SmartDraw provides a handy shortcut for anyone in this situation, offering a plethora of diagram templates and art elements that eliminate the need to start from scratch.A huge variety of possible uses has been included, from software engineering or business modeling to anatomical illustration. Generic templates include flowcharts, organizational charts, mind maps, family trees, ER diagrams, and far more. A clip-art collection helps fill out the basic templates, and a drag-and-drop tool lets users easily add frequently used symbol combinations. The program also functions as a standalone drawing tool, supporting free-hand drawing, image layers, text, and tables. Work can be saved in a number of formats including JPEG, PDF, HTML and AutoCAD Interchange.
As a fast illustration or business tool for someone who's not doing full-blown design work, we think this program functions extraordinarily well.

Pros: Easy to use and many file formats to choose from. Flowcharts look better than Visio with many sylized options.
Cons: I have not had any problems with the product.

"The perfect program for medical presentations"
Pros: I use the 'Healthcare Edition'. The graphics are the best I have found. I prepared managerial, educational, and graduate school presentations with equal ease. It also did not require a lot of timeconsuming training - very user friendly!
Cons: I could always use more healthcare graphics!
Summary: Easy to use . The end product is professional. Interfaces easily with my work programs (multiple versions of Microso from 98 to Vista). Reasonably priced - especially withal the graphics in the library. A wonderful product!

"Be More Productive with SmartDraw"
Pros: -Makes communicating, managing & organizing easier
-Versatility & number of graphics/productivity tools
-I can animate any piece of any chart or graphic that I create in SmartDraw and present it in any way I choose in PowerPointCons: -The software has done everything I have needed it to do to make my job easier and more productive (gantt/project charts, mind maps and flow charts and presentation integration), so I have no negatives to report at this time.
Summary: --In the end, this software is a must have for a business professional or anyone looking to communicate more effective or organize more efficiently...or be a more productive employee or manager for that matter.

"Visual Productivity Just Got Better and Easier!"
Pros: Better flowcharts, 3D views, better charts and graphs, project charts with dependencies, improved timelines, data plotting for maps, more automation pretty much everywhere, new PowerPoint tab, even sticky notes!
Cons: There is so much in SmartDraw 2009, it can be a bit overwhelming. You need to take some time to go through each category to see what is new and how it can help you.
