ShowMyPC is a Community for Web Conferencing and Remote Support. Providing tools for Instant Support to Service Providers and Users. The tools on this site are meant for Online collaboration, Desktop Sharing and Remote PC access, as an alternative to subscription based sites like WebEx or Gotomypc.
Version 2940 features: New Chat, White Boarding (Options > Meeting Room Activity..), Send meeting links directly to Mac or PC from the application.

Pros: The free service was a Beta test which they have closed not new users.
$5 a month for one pc no way!Cons: Is not free which is not the same as no limitations.
Summary: Don't bother with it it's not free and there are better programs if you want to pay. Teamviewer is free and works well

Pros: yes it requires small resources and you don't have to install it
Cons: you have to access code before you can connect to your PC and it changes every time you run the program.

"Works, setup is easy, not ready for remote support."
Pros: I like it small footprint; low memory usage. It is quick to connect to another PC. I was trying this out to do remote PC support. For most common functions it worked fine.
Cons: I could take control of the remote PC and us it as if it were my own. Copy/Paste worked fine. Running programs worked fine. What didn't work was some of the basic windows features, like windows explorer and windows short-cut keys.
Summary: For most of the things in the description, they worked. Personally, I could not share files between the host and the remote, but maybe I need to try again. I would recommend that this is a good pick if you want to setup a meeting or use the whiteb... read more >>
