This download includes two programs for reading portable documents on your Palm organizer. Express Reader DX is a desktop document manager, enabling you to preview, edit, and prepare e-text files for uploading to your mobile handheld device. The other application, Express Reader GT, is an e-text reader for the Palm OS, the mobile companion to the DX reader. Its features include a search function, bookmarks, font preferences, and beam features. This program works with Word files, WordPerfect files, e-mail messages, and Web pages.
In this version, on the Palm side, there is better Palm OS 3.5 compatibility, color support, support for documents in flash memory, and a smaller program size. On the desktop side, the program now reads, edits, and translates MS Word files to Palm (in addition to HTML, text, and RTF), and the Help files have been updated.

Summary
I checked out this software after hearing that it won the Innovative Technology Award from the premier eBook Awards in 2002. It well deserves the award - it is simply one of the easiest ways to put together ebooks or any kind of e-document for the Palm. It translates from Word, html, rich text and more, but with a different philosophy from other tools - making it much easier to format things correctly for the Palm. Well worth a download. Ten stars!

Summary
It's not obvious but this is two programs in one, a reader program for your Palm and one for your PC which also edits and converts Word, Web and other types of documents into Palm format. Now that I've discovered it, I bring my most important documents with me. Famtastic application!
