Simple Start is for first-time QuickBooks users and can't import data from prior versions of QuickBooks Basic, Simple Start, Pro or Premier Editions, Quicken or Peachtree. Version 2009 lets users track up to 20 customers and import data from Microsoft Excel 2000/2002/2003/2007.
Note: The Download Now link will download a small installer file to your desktop. Remain online and double-click the installer to proceed with the actual download (320MB). QuickBooks Simple Start is now bundled with Google Desktop Search. Installation of these component is optional.

"Awesome, easy, puts my mind at ease it is done right"
Pros: Keeps records of payments, deposits, keeps me on track of my income verses expenses. Can set up several accounts: ex. petty cash, regular checking and savings acct. Keeps track of loans.
Cons: Explanations need to written in dumbie friendly terms instead of accounting terms. Some accounting terms are understandable but receive payment and sale payment is not easy to understand. Especially for what I do - child care

"i love this product, it is Ease to use ,"
Pros: Ease of use. Does exactly what is needed for me and my business.
Cons: When a backup file is made, the program creates so many files.
Summary: If you are a home internet base business that only receives checks or wire transfers for payment, then this free software is for you. It also gives the option of accepting credit cards but I am not familiar with this function.

"Wouldn't Install on Windows Vista Premium"
Pros: None since it wouldn't install
Cons: it wouldn't install. I downloaded it three times and tried to install it three times with no luck.

"I took it off. I don't think it will work with Vista 64"
Pros: None that I can think of.
Cons: It stuck another toolbar on my screen that I had a hard time taking off. It put all kinds of icons on my screen and then it doesn't even work with vista 64.
Summary: Don't waste your time downloading it.
