Disappointed! You can only download this software for windows. If you have a Mac your out of luck and have to purchase the $200 software so it's pointless.

I got it on a CD & didn't have to download it :)

I buy items that I resell, hopefully at a profit. Yet NO INVENTORY account! How can that be? Also, as mentioned before 20 vendors/customers BUT QBSimple assigns everything as a vendor, the power company, the phone company, everyone! Those 20 vendors fill up the first hour of use. $99 for more vendors? I think not!

the extortion of $ for upgrades and payroll services.
Cons
again qbooks has over complicated every step of accounting. the need to always have a "new version" with better feature has made this the most useless version to date for small business . new payroll and liability feature is especially a pain.
I can't wait to be forced to upgrade again to 2008 in a few months for another $$$. Also qbooks will bone you for every $ they can for support. Never expect anyone to answer the phone.
my previous version of q books completely worked with vista except it could not log an invoice. they conveniently install an error message to force the purchase of 2007 pro. thanks again qbooks. if it was not for my CPA using your program i would have switched a decade ago

If you only plan to have 5 customers then this is a good starter package
Cons
This bait and switch version from Intuit is to limited to be of value. I'm recommending Microsoft's Office Accounting Express with Quick Payment from BIG Software for my customers.

Quickbooks released this crippleware hoping you'd bite and then upgrade to the retail version of Simple Start. To ensure you do, they made this software so limited, it's of limited value to your typical business.
--you can only have 20 vendors/customers
--you can't do payroll or track employee time
--no integration with Excel and Word, so forget about exporting anything
