We're not impressed with PDF Studio. Its feature set is slim, its stability is doubtful, and its price is high. Our discontent began with the installation process, which requires you to locate a Java Virtual Machine on your system. If you have one, great. If not, prepare for another download. Once up and running, PDF Studio inserts, cuts, and stamps pages in PDF documents. It supports text and image stamps and lets you instantly preview your edits. If you aren't satisfied with the result, you can revert to the original and start over. Our reaction? Eh. PDF Studio doesn't support drag-and-drop opening of files, and, like many Java applications, it feels sluggish. If all you need to do is split, merge, and stamp documents, PDF Studio may be worth downloading--but for $50, you'll probably wish you'd bought a better-designed, more full-featured application.Publisher's description
From Qoppa Software :Qoppa PDF Studio is an easy to use yet powerful tool to work with PDF documents. It can work with existing PDF documents or create new documents from scanned images using the scan-to-pdf feature.
With PDF Studio, you can annotate your documents with text, graphics and even sound. You can fill interactive pdf forms, stamp documents to mark them as Paid, Confidential or add your own signature Stamp and perform other functions such as splitting and merging, setting passwords and more. You can also work on multiple documents with a single click using batch functions. PDF Studio uses Qoppa's proprietary technology to view and modify PDF files so there's no need to purchase Adobe Acrobat or any other software.

Version: Qoppa PDF Studio 4.3
"Impressive software for Linux"
Pros: Best LINUX pdf solution in my opinion. Fully compatible with Adobe Acrobat -- highlighting/notes in Qoppa PDF Editor are intact in Acrobat 7. Now with a good PDF editor, there is even more reason to switch to Linux.
Cons: Cannot do Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This is a drawback. Often does not display Chinese or Japanese characters properly
Summary: Very small program with minimal demands on computer resources
Very well designed, intuitive and easy to use
Cost is reasonable
Works cross-platform so if you use Linux, Mac or Windows, it will work on any platform
