CNET Editors' review
This basic reminder program forgoes the sticky-note motif in favor of a more consolidated approach. Rather than cluttering your display with tiny individual notes, NotesHolder provides one list, which docks as an unobtrusive vertical line on the right or left of your screen and pops out in response to a hovering cursor. You can add new notes and reminders in tabbed windows, labeling each window by category. The onetime or recurring alarms have gotten a makeover, popping up notifications with a quick beep or an audio file and launching another application at the specified time. Customization options are still slimmer than some competitors', but for the price, the attractive color schemes and font options are reasonable. The database of notes can also be accessed and exported in a text or Excel format. If you seek an efficient and easy-to-use reminder utility, add NotesHolder to your test list.
Publisher's Description
From A!K Research:
NotesHolder lets you quickly type in any piece of information so that you can easily find it when you need, read it or print it out for your convenience. This is the most effective way to store all your notes without cluttering up your desk with PostIt and sticky notes.
Unlike the other similar applications, NotesHolder is very thrifty with your screen space. You can even turn off NotesHolder icon in the system tray. But if you move your mouse cursor to the edge of the screen, the list of the notes sorted by the time of creation and divided into categories will pop up. Click once to create a new note or to edit an existing one. Click once more to print the note.

"This is nice"
Version: NotesHolder 1.6
-
"It is as useful as it is simple. In a word, Extremely!"
Version: NotesHolder 1.6
Pros
I had been using a giveaway version of version 1.5 for about a year, and I'd miss it badly if I did not have it. I would not describe it as "full featured", it just does what it says it will, efficiently, easily and unobtrusively.
I did not have to spend the $14.95 for a registered version (The one that I had worked fine), but it is so good that I felt that the author deserved my thank you. My buying it was my way to say thanks.
Cons
If it had text formatting (Bold, Italics, etc.), it would be even better.

"Really the best free note taker program!"
Version: NotesHolder 1.5
Pros
Free, nice features, for example one click to open it, then you move the mouse and its gone. Doesn't clutter your desktop like the (4 - 1) M version ;)
Cons
The green title bar (which cannot be changed) looks a bit cheap.

"EASY TO USE & ACCESS"
Version: NotesHolder 1.5

Easy to use. Access easily on your desktop, and what's not to like about FREE!
-
"great!!!!"
Version: NotesHolder 1.32
Pros
keep your desktop clean, and your notes organized, it's multilanguage, you can add reminders, backup your notes. If you like to see your desktop clean for your wallpapers, themes, whatever, you should install this app,
Cons
use categories to store notes separately just in the pro version, but that it's not a big deal, just download it,

"Love it!"
Version: NotesHolder 1.32
Pros
It has a simple interface, and reminder notes are shown in a list-like way that makes referencing and organizing very easy and intuitive. It has this light-weight feel about it that makes it a very useful addition towards an uncluttered desktop

"Very very useful piece of software, Excellent..."
Version: NotesHolder 1.32
Pros
Most of the time when I try a "get organized" type of software, I don't end up being any more organized. BUT, with this NotesHolder little program, I've easily moved over to it instead of the zillions of scraps of paper and post-it notes on my desk, on my monitor, on the walls, now no more out of control post-it notes.
The free version is great, as well though the extra benefits of the (reasonable) paid version made it a no-brainer to at least download the trial of the paid version, it was so good I had no qualms at all for paying for it.
This thing "autoshrinks" when you click away from it, it pops back out when you mouse on the thin docking line that is visible. After playing with it I settled on a large size of the overall footprint, nearly full screen size, and having it dock up at the very top. Mousing over it, this big notes thing is instantly there, and I've got about 8 tabs at the bottom for different stuff, work personal family etc, "urgent", that kind of stuff. It's a GREAT program. Nice self-backups, and it's been totally reliable with data. Very very nice, totally worthwhile, good job guys!
Cons
Unusual, but I do not have one negative or critical thing to say about this software, other than I could have used it a few years ago, where have you been...

"Excellent, Simple Program"
Version: NotesHolder 1.32
Pros
I was using Sticker Lite for my to-do list, but needed something with reminder alarms. I tried numerous free programs, and finally found NotesHolder Lite. It does exactly what I want; a desktop sticky/list, and reminders.
I like having all of my items in one window that's easy to look at and edit, and each item on the list can be checked off and have a separate alarm set. It's very easy to setup and use.
BEST FEATURE: Apart from being 100% FREE with full features, it minimizes itself at the edge of the screen, but shows a thin red bar. When you move your mouse over the bar, the list window pops up. You can also set it for 'Always On Top,' but I LOVE this minimize feature.
Cons
-I'd like to be able to change the size of each note within the window, so it's bigger for longer items, and smaller for one-line items.
-It'd be great to have font editing capability. I'd like to change fonts for the items on my list, make words bold, different colors, etc.
Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons, and these are trivial complaints. It's a great free program!
