NoteZilla makes a strong case for itself as the virtual sticky notes program most worthy of your attention.
Although this utility doesn't really have a dedicated control panel, right-clicking the system-tray icon gets you numerous options to customize your note appearance and behavior with better-than-average skins and details. Hot-key support will be a boon to those who frequently use the program, while forgetful people will appreciate the ability to set an alarm for any note. If you don't want your reminders invading your personal space, you can decide on which applications or documents they will appear. Notes can helpfully roll up to the title line to conserve desktop space, and can synchronize with Outlook and Palm devices.
This application may not be the cheapest kid on the block, but it handles nicely and can help organize active minds.

"The BEST sticky note portable application"
Pros: This is an absolutely amazing software. I have tried and own many similar products but NoteZilla is the only one that can stand on its own - on a USB medium, that is! I use it on an SD Card and it works quite well with FolderLock and AIRoboForm to keep the contents secure. Convenience: Just plug it into any computer and evoke NoteZilla and watch stickies appear on the desktop. Use passwords and security. Keep stickies on top of all apps if need be. Use various colors. Arrange stickies with one click in various configurations. Backup information. Stick specific notes to ANY Window (Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, email apps, etc.). I love the AutoLock feature. Built-in alarms with multiple & repeat functions. Allows common Windows shortcut editing (including formatting). Set separate skin, color, transparency, etc. for each sticky. Many keyboard shortcuts make this quite fast. There is even priority color tag coding (though this is not too obvious when in use). Just like the desktop version, it even has password controlled Memoboards to serve as repository. Insert images, align, insert bullets & numbers, and control fonts via shortcuts or right-click menus. You can even attach actual files to a sticky! The Notes Browser is brilliant - you get to see the lists and arrange them as you want. Awesome customer service with immediate email support of even casual comments and requests. I bought it in less than 24 hours!
Cons: The formatting shortcuts could be better by using Word/WordPerfect style Cntrl+R (yes, currently, the command launches the Reminder Window), L (currently, dangerous as it simply deletes it), E, etc. It sure does Cntrl+B for Bold & Cntrl+I for Italics. The disappearing (autohide) toolbar could be annoying. How about offering a command to activate/deactivate that?

Version: NoteZilla 7
"Great little sticky note program"
Pros: Its got alot of options and ways to format your note from inserting pictures and attaching files, to crossing out text without crossing out the whole note. Stuff I like most about the program: - When you have a transparency on the note, it becomes solid again when you edit the note and becomes transparent again when you're done. -When you want to send a note, it sends the contents of the note (in case the recipient doesnt have the program) in the email as well as attaching the note itself to the email.
I can go on and on how great this little program is, but then you can always try yourself, its has no nag screen or limits the program even though its shareware. I tried 5 different sticky note programs(including Cute Reminder) and I think this one is the best and worth the price compared to Cute Reminder.
Cons: -when you edit the title and try to make the text too big, it gets cut off (anything about 12 pt) -its not free (lol)

"Best feature is the "stick to document""
Pros: I recently purchased Quick Notes Plus 5.O, which is the "standard" version of NoteZilla, only because I didn't need all the extra functions. But I did try both versions, and both worked without a hitch (I run Windows XP Pro). One of the main reasons I chose Quick Note/NoteZilla is because of its "stick to document" function, which lets you stick notes to particular documents so that the notes only appear when you open those documents. Of course, if you are just looking for a REALLY basic, free program with an alarm/reminder, then you could probably live with 3M's free version of Post-It. But if you use sticky notes extensively, I highly recommend Quick Notes Plus or NoteZilla. You can do a quick comparison between Quick Notes and NoteZilla by going to their site. None of my spyware programs (Trend Micro, Spybot, Ad-Aware) picked up any spyware either. Check it out!
Cons: I could use more skins, but it seems like they are planning to add more in future.

Version: NoteZilla 7
"Useful, dependable, easy to use, and fairly priced."
Pros: NoteZilla7 out-performs other software programs in its category hands-down. Two important things to know right off: it is exceptionally reasonable priced and the publisher (Conceptworld) offers a generous 30-day demo period. The program is simple and actually fun to use. A simple user-defined hot-key allows one to create a new note immediately from any program AND attach it to another program, file, or even an online Web page! The program description is written accurately and, if anything, modestly underplayed. The various skins that can be used are bright and cheerful. The search feature is fast and effective. Notes can be placed on your desktop and can remain folded or unfolded (scrolled or unscrolled). A nice feature is the software remembers the placement of each note on the desktop. And each note can be individually pinned to remain on top or not. Each note can be re-sized, hidden, password protected, and deleted. I run NoteZilla7 on the notoriously unstable Windows XP with a firewall and an anti-viral program running in the background with no memory conflicts or appreciable resources reduction or any apparent problems. For its small size, NoteZilla7 packs a wallop for power and a host of features.
Cons: Some additional features would make this useful program even more beneficial; options like line-sorting, spell-checker, and synchronization with Outlook and Palm Pilot. Fortunately, I understand these features will be available in future updates.
