Version: Moneydance 2006 r4
"An excellent alternative to Quicken for Mac/Linux/Win!!!"
Pros: Straight forward and easy to use. No ads and the file format seems solid (i.e. no corrupt data as I sometimes got with Quicken 2006). It imported my Quicken 2006 QIF data perfectly. I did wait a while after purchasing this before I decided to give my two cents here. I like the way it organizes my transactions when I reconcile. Much cleaner than Quicken did it. It's written in Java so it can run in Windows, Mac, or Linux so long as you have the JRE installed.
Cons: It lacks a manual (something to reference), but does have a decent online forum... a few other very minor things in the interface, but they are things that take a little getting used to (i.e going from MS Money to Quicken or vice versa).
