From Vellosoft :MiniMinder serves up a slick daily countdown for all the upcoming events you wish to track. It shows you your reminders each time you reach the desktop. The application can be minimized to the system tray, where it uses a minimum of system resources and then reappears with each new day. You can schedule yearly, monthly, and one-time events; events every other Sunday or Thursday; events occurring in increments, a til-done event for those who don't always get it done the exact day we were supposed to; and the days-past event, which can track the exact number of days, months, and years that have passed from a previous date.
Version 6.51 corrects the popular observance date for Canadian Thanksgiving, adds Remembrance Day, expands the maximum every to every 199 days, and adds Registry tweaks to change the Reminders window font.

"Does what it suppose to do without a hitch."
Pros: You can set reminders weekly, yearly, and daily schedules. You can use this little program to remind you of TV shows, bills, and other to-do activities.
Cons: There is none.

"The Beauty Is In It's Simplicity"
Pros: Thanks to Miniminder i'm never gonna miss a birthday again! I like that it appears on system startup, and it's ease of use and basic look are all you need. Miniminder doesn't use up much space on your system, that's why there is no harm in giving it a try. A must have in my opinion.
Cons: Well you can't change the skin, but who cares as it's not something you will have open for long periods of time.

Pros: The program does exactly what you want it to do, count down the days till an event and thats what it does "period"
Cons: It could benefit from a HH:MM:SS count down setting
