From Yih Chun :MemHack is my PalmOS 5 program for keeping read-only program databases in VFS. It copies files off of VFS on launch and deletes them when the application terminates. You must run PalmOS5 to use this. Update: I replaced the memory card, and it's now 100% stable for me! Your mileage may vary. Please donate if you like this program. As an added bonus, the program also plays MidCapsHack: letters written completely (pen down and pen up) in the upper right hand quarter of the alpha Graffiti area are automatically capitalized. If you donate, there are other versions, or you can compile them yourself...
