Linking is a chore, no matter what anyone says. Its kind of monotonous. But the magic for me in LinkAssistant is that I can dial it in to produce for me a list of high PR sites that link TO MY COMPETITORS. Then, I can pursue links with them, too. Do you understand how powerful this is?

I just started using SEO PowerSuite, and I was amazed that after just one week, I had front page Google rankings for two different keywords. Prior to that, I was not ranked for any keywords except my own business name. I'm impressed!
Cons
It's a bit pricey, especially since you have to continue to subscribe to the Live plan after the 6 month mark, but I still feel it's worth it since it gets results.
