As its name would suggest, Konverter does indeed give users the ability to convert their files to a wide variety of different file formats, and it does so with ease. But its other included features didn't quite measure up.

The program's simple, self-explanatory main interface features drop-down menus lining the top of the window, as well as frequently used commands. We started by testing the Convert option. The program offers an impressive list of file format options, including PNG, PTIFF, SGI, and more. We selected a JPEG file and, using the Convert menu, opted to convert it to a PDF file. The menu let us select the target folder for our newly converted file. Once we clicked OK, the program immediately converted our file to a PDF. We were excited to find that Konverter also has a screen capture tool. It supposedly lets you capture screenshots from an active screen or from the Web, but when we put it to the test, it fell flat. We entered the URL of the Web page that we wanted to capture, but the program froze on us and eventually stopped working altogether. We then tried to capture an image of an active window, but nothing happened after we clicked OK. The program does include an online Help feature, but it failed to provide any kind of troubleshooting advice.

Konverter comes with a 30-day trial period. It leaves behind folders in the Program Files after uninstallation. Despite its successful file conversion, we recommend you look for a fully functional program.
