  Summary

  I tried to expand my c drive capacity by10 gb for the last three days and was totally misguided by other software asking to pay and upgrade.Finally i got this free software and I extended the C drive by 10 GB using the free space by shrinking D drive and then using the same software for extending the C drive.Fantastic.I can now peacefully download my reserved copy windows 10 and also keep old windows 7 in case if I like to reverse back.For this purpose I need extra space of 16 GB in my C drive.Thanks for this wonderful software for its simple operational steps.

• Solved my Nightmare after Windows update!

  Pros

  It does what is says. It really does make it simple to extend the C drive and without all the hassle of having to back up files and registry (although I did so just to be on the safe side as a first time user).

  Cons

  You really do need to follow the instructions which are not that clear. I did not fully understand at first and simply reduced the D partition by sliding from the right, then clicked proceed which rebooted. I then followed the instructions properly and slid from the left which enabled me to move the unallocated space and it was a piece of cake. So, no cons really, just my error.

  Summary

  I stupidly ignored warning signs my C drive was full. I only have programs on that partition and all my documents, music and pictures from 2000 are on the D partition. Windows updated automatically and on boot up I was presented with a basic startup screen as with a new pc and no profile, no favourites in Chrome/IE (defaulted to bing.....nothing. Tried recovery but could not do anything to recover as C drive FULL. I downloaded IM-Magic Partition Resizer from my laptop onto a memory stick and plugged it into my pc to save it to D drive which had plenty of space and ran it. At first I could not understand how to get the unallocated space next to the C partition until I watched the video which explained you move the slider from the right (not the left to reduce). After allocating the free space to the C partition I crossed my fingers and went for it. I then went to the pub for a couple as it was clearly going to take some time. Came home and found boot up the same, no profile loaded etc but checked drives and they were resized so followed procedure for duplicate profiles using the regedit method and rebooted. Everything back to normal. Very happy person! In my opinion this program/app whatever it is, is really magical and I am soooo grateful to you guys who made this available. I cannot praise it enough. If you keep a level head, don't panic and follow the instructions you will get your system up and running like nothing ever changed.

  Pros

  Fast and simple. Instructions are right there on the main windows at the bottom. 1.2.3. and your done. No interruption of other work for a restart to finish partitioning. This does work on Windows 8/8.1 thought they do not state so.

  Cons

  I can't attest to the no data loss statement since I can not be sure whether or not my factory partition was corrupted by this or another program I installed in Nov.

  Summary

  I have tried many other programs over the years to partition my HDD. All had bells and whistles that really aren't needed and then want you to buy their product after the "Free" download. IM-Magic is fast simple and most of all COMPLETELY FREE!!!! Disk management is complicated in Windows more so if you are a novice to such programs as myself. IM-Magic takes all the frustration out of it. Normally I don't trust programs not rated by the editor. However I found this back in Nov on another software download site I trust more than here. The instructions are very easy to understand and placed on the screen. Unlike other programs IM-Magic DOES NOT require a restart to finish 99% of operations. This means you don't have to stop and save what you are doing just to finish partitioning your drive. I can not say for certain whether or not that my factory reset partition was ruined or not by this or another program I installed. So for their saying no data loss I can not testify. So all that said yes I do recommend this program. Its easy of use and quickness even for those not pc literate and a 5 star. I use to trust Puran Paragon EASUS MINITOOLS etc but they got greedy for money and became less user friendly.

  Haven't used it enough to find anything wrong. It did everything I needed it to do.

  Summary

  My C: was almost completely full, I had about 4.5GB of space left, had been looking for a way to partition some space from my almost empty D: without going through DskMgmt and getting to technical (not completely confident with my computer skills yet) this program did exactly what i needed it to do and its extremely easy, and on their site it has a step by step walk through if you get confused.
