Version: Keystroke POS 6.21
"Cash register ok - behind the scenes difficult."
Pros: Once you get use to the system it is easy enough to add and updated sale items and inventory.
Cons: Reports are lousy, and support is worse. You HAVE to purchase their support to get any answers. Help menue tells you it can be done, but not how!! Still trying to run basic sales reports and having issues. Try software that works with accounting.
Summary: Disklike in general because there is no basic support for the common store owner. Not everybody can afford to start business, buy equipment and software, and then buy never ending support from day one. Should at least be able to use the basics an... read more >>

Version: Keystroke POS 6.21
"Inexpensive and stable retail POS."
Pros: Easy to use. Not too expensive. Very stable. This is just a sample download to test. I have used KS for several years, but they seem to have not updated their software in a few years and are probably outdated. The reports are not very good.
Cons: Doesn't work great with Vista. Lousy reports. Somewhat out of date.
Summary: POS software is all about the your local support. Make sure you have support located in the city you operate
