This gargantuan program gives your Windows XP system a makeover in a successful attempt to resemble Mac OS X. Though we were impressed with how FlyakiteOSX redesigned our system, the lengthy installation process was a big turnoff. The program lets you skin Windows XP, with its preconfigured themes and icons that change the entire look of your desktop. However, FlyakiteOSX offers only two themes and a limited settings dialog. You can opt to install more editing tools that are bundled with the program, such as ObjectDock and WinRoll. Unfortunately, you'll need to restart your PC whenever you tweak some settings. Despite some drawbacks of this freeware, we doubt you'll have any complaints with the appearance of your polished desktop.Publisher's description
From FlyakiteOSX :Transform the look of an ordinary Windows XP+ system to resemble the look of Mac OS X. The installer simply automates the process of replacing critical system files, setting registry tweaks, and installing extras such as cursors, sounds, and visual styles.

Version: FlyakiteOSX 2
Pros: It does everything it says! Perfectly!
Cons: It erased the transitions in Windows Movie Maker. I recommend before installing, go to C:\Program Files\Moviemaker\ and COPY all of the files in that folder to your desktop. Then run the program. Afterwards, just replace the old Movie Maker Folder with the one you backed up. There you go.
A little rough on your resourses.

"Makes your pc look like a Mac, BUT..."
Pros: Really impressed me. It really make my Windows look like a Mac. Boot up screens, interface, everything.
Cons: It is completely HARD to uninstall everything, you have to make a system restore. Also, it slows down your system. Be careful of this thing.

"Safest way to tweak Windows XP into MacOS X"
Pros: As title said, this is the easiest, fastest and most of all the safest way to tweak XP look into OSX look. I have been fooling around with it for almost a month. After all, it can be uninstall easily and get back into your current state. You also can use system restore to go back into previous state before install.

Version: FlyakiteOSX 2
Pros: None. It never installed properly. The installer froze somewhere near the end of the install.
Cons: As you install it, you see a long list of files that are being modified. Watching the list makes you worry. It's not worth it. Not for any reason.

Version: FlyakiteOSX 2
Pros: I loved the software after it's lengthy installation was complete. The desktop is smooth yet it retains the windows taskbar style. The objectdock that came with it is a perfect replica of the actual mac os x, but there were still obvious that you are using a pc and not a mac.
Cons: The desktop is almost perfect but it can be better. If you want something close to the actual mac os x then you should install this program completely - however it does slow the computer down - so you could install windowblinds and use the mac os x tiger theme, install objectdock, use bootskin, and logon manager and retain system speed.
The essential part is WinMac, which is a taskbar that simulates that of the mac os x, including finder, view, tools, system, etc.
