"Product does indeed install and run properly"

Pros
Provides all the same functionality as the full (non-portable) version.
Cons
If you don't want to install the PortableApps.com menu (http://portableapps.com) you are better off using the full version (http://metalogicsw.com/financeexplorer/)
Summary
You get a lot of functionality and the price is right.
If you are already using the PortableApps.com menu, this apps is a great addition.
If you prefer a simple folder-copy-install onto your USB drive, you can do that as well by installing the standard version and copying the install folder onto your USB drive. Then just double-click on mlFinExp.exe to run directly from your USB drive. -

The only con is the program dosn't seem to have any security options.
So you must add some sort of security on the USB drive to keep your
info safe.Summary
A good program easy to load on a USB drive. It dose what it says it
will do. It is quit robust for a free program. With added protection, this
would be a great portable way to deal with personal finance and
budgets. -
