Version: Files Compare Tool 2.7
Pros: Very quick, easy to use. Highlights not just differing lines, but what parts of the line differ. Graphical representation of the entire file at the side, highlighting what parts of the file differ. Compares directories--not just directory entries, but looks at each text file to see if they're the same or different. Allows editing files while comparing them.
Cons: Display of files is only side by side, not top and bottom, so viewing a line more than about 70 characters side (with screen at 1280x1024, default font size) requires scrolling. But scrolling is handled nicely in the program.
No comparison of binary files.
