Features: Variable speed playback (constant pitch); Supports many professional foot pedals which connect to the game, serial or USB port to control playback; Uses 'hot' keys to control playback when using other software (e.g. Word); Ability to dock both analog and digital portable recorders to load recordings; Works with Microsoft Word and all major word-processor applications; Automatically receives and loads files by internet (FTP), e-mail or over a local computer network; Automatically sends typing to the person who dictated the work; Works with speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking to automatically convert speech to text; Loads CD audio directly--start to work as it loads in the background; Can switch to 'mini' mode to reduce screen space; Integrate with dictation management systems using the Express Scribe SDK.

"Great product for medical transcription."
Pros: Easy to use and learn, configurable, cool features.
Cons: There is a need for an additonal codec on install which is not easily available. Once it gets going though, haven't found any cons.
Summary: The product is free and has a lot of features. The undocumented codec problem was the only irritant. I have used this all the time I have done medical transcription and am very comfortable with it. Also, I provided feedback about a missing featur... read more >>

Pros: Extremely reliable; fast download; easy hot-key access to features. Ability to boost audio volume is terrific.
Cons: Have to reload an archived file in order to delete it. Just takes a minute, but would be nice to be able to delete directly from archive.

Pros: Have it configured with e-mail so easily dowloadable. Clear dictation. Works well with my transcription program (AGFA).
Cons: Difficult to rewind far enough with footpedal, also working with a stop/start footpedal takes a bit of getting used to. However, I am new to this product and need to investigate options further.

Pros: It's very user-friendly and it's FREE!!
Cons: I just wish I could jazz up the interface or at least personalize it.
Summary: I've been using it for 6 long years since I started my transcription career. It's so easy to use and has very important added features like extra volume boost. To use the product for free is a great bonus.
