CrossLoop provides a quick, easy, and completely free way to give a colleague, a friend, or a relative access to your computer. After installation, your PC will be assigned a 12-digit access code each time you start the program. You then give that number to another user to virtually share your desktop. Once connected, that user will have full access to your machine.
The odd nature of sharing a desktop cursor and the inability to add multiple users makes CrossLoop illogical for proper business presentations. However, the complete system access and 128-bit encrypted connection combine to create a great solution for low-budget, long-distance tech support. Guests can use any app and save files on your computer, as if they were sitting in front of the machine. No router configuration is required--a big plus. File transfers are now supported, but the purpose here remains collaboration: CrossLoop doesn't work without explicit permission from the host.
Since simplicity is a key attraction, it lacks more advanced features, and the connection must be made in two minutes or it times out. While the interface and the features are simple, CrossLoop offers a secure and fast method for two users to collaborate on one PC.

"Works much better than Remote Assistance"
Pros: Great remote access software. Fast to make connection. Allows for proxy authentication so should be great for any type of firewall traversal.
I use this in preference to Windows Remote Assistance which has become less functional of late. Security code reassures remote hosted user that only you can connect.
Cons: Changing screen resolution on remote computer disconnects session and resolution change doesn't occur. Limits ones ability to make changes.

"Easiest screen sharing program available"
Pros: By far the easiest setup for establishing a remote connection (my computer illiterate grandfather who lives hundreds of miles away was able to open a connection). I'm the goto guy in my family when something goes wrong and this program allows me to fix my family member's computers regardless of where they are and regardless of whether or not they are able to configure their network (which they most certainly are not).
Cons: It uses the tightVNC system so the connection is fairly fast, however the screen is jittery as in most remote situations. Additionally, I used it for collaboration once; however, I found that I had some problems with file transfers and the program just isn't powerful enough for high quality collaboration, however in a pinch...

"Best Remote Access Program I have used - and it is free!"
Pros: This works very well. The only downside is, it is a little slow at times. But I have used this successfully to fix computers remotely many times. It is so easy to use, even my parents could use it on their PC to let me fix it remotely for them.
