Publisher's description
From Acksen :Clientem PurchaseManager Free is a free quote request and purchase order (PO) management system. It enables staff to easily create and manage both purchase orders and the order lifecycle. Users can see an overview of all orders and more essentially the status of each. New suppliers and their products can be imported or added as orders. The program will automatically create and save a PDF of your PO, you can then e-mail it from within the program, to the supplier.
You may import existing supplier or products from many other common programs, or input data as you place orders. You define a graphical progress chart, with various steps such as place order and goods received to represent each order's lifecycle. Version 3.2 build 0156 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Clientem PurchaseManager Free 3.2 build 0156
"Got the makings of a good idea"
Pros: It is a good concept
Cons: The free version seems to be designed so that you quickly buy the real version, because of all the reminders etc, it gets very annoying.
Filling out an order is fairly complicated, its not user friendly, and the software crashed several times before I got so frustrated I deleted it from my system. The screens went over my viewing area, and the printouts on the free version uses the Purchasemanager logo, creating an unprofessional (and rather confusing to the receiver) look on your orders, as well as stating on the invoice footer that you are using free software. The real software, at over $160, is pretty dear compared to others in the market.
