Version: Calendarscope 2.5
"Desktop Calendar? This one does it."
Pros: My calendar matters to me.
My background is one of having been involved in business for many years. At one point I owned and managed a company supplying PC hardware and software with the result that I am no way a beginner when it comes to what I expect from PC applications generally, and from my personal calendar in particular. I am demanding, and will immediately bin any application that doesn't match my expectations to the full.
I recently downloaded Calendarscope and took a look. Within an hour, I went ahead and bought it. That's how impressed I was.
Days later, having put Calendarscope 'through the hoop' in every way I can think of, I have to say that it has not only met all my initial expectations and hopes,it has surpassed them. This product not only beats the application I used previously, but wins absolutely 'hands down'.
Calendarscope is one of those joy-to-use products that just feels better, the more you get into it. You can tailor a great deal - and I have taken full advantage.
The result is that I now have my dream calendar. It really does everything I have ever wanted - and more. The event categories I use were designed by me to provide exactly what I need so that I can see at a glance, by the colour coding I've selected, what's 'nagging but not urgent', what's 'fairly pressing', what's 'best get to it', what's 'this is crucial - now'.
Calendarscope is simply excellent. Despite the many options available in setting up just what you want, to make it do what you want and look as you wish, it's still beautifully simple and intuitive to use.
The team behind it have got it right. And they keep on improving - just take a glance through their unremitting improvement history.
As to the price ... well, is this ever Value For Money or what?
My advice: if you're wondering what to go for in calendar software, check out Calendarscope. Download it for a trial period and have fun. If you do, you'll be glad.
