BBOpenX is two parts. There is an app that you run on your local machine and a PERL script you run on the remote server (called, say, 'bba'). When you want to open a file on the remote server you have a session window to you just type 'bba this.file' and the file opens from the server in BBEdit! No more looking through BBEdits clunky FTP browser, or any FTP browser for that matter. The main download link is the carbonized version (BBOpenX), the alternate download link is a 'classic' version. This is my first piece of software ever so I'm very open to suggestions bug reports.
What's new in this version:
- You can hide user information.
- A list of all files you've opened this session is available.
- If you click on a file in the list of files, that file is opened for you.
- You can now provide absolute locations to files you want to open (ie: bba /this/that/theother.txt)
