Version: Auto Dialer Pro 4.4
"Buggy, unstable, difficult to evaluate"
Pros: Seems to have lots of features planned.
Cons: I tried to used it for outgoing messages to send to reminders to a club list. First, the package would not accept a .CSV file per the documentation. The developer sent an update and fixed that problem after I wasted probably half a day wrestling with it.
Then, I tried to use Silence Detection and Busy detection, but these features don't work very well. They result in a very long period of silence at the start of the call. So, I use a message that starts right away and repeats, hopefully being long enough for most answering maching announcements (so that the message will be heard again after the announcement is played on the receiving end.)
However, I found the program frequently would repeat the same number without ever stopping even though I had set it not to repeat. The logging feature doesn't report on the status of the call, whether the message was played or not, busy, detected, etc., although it will log the call if it is completed correctly. I asked for an update from the developer and they supplied it, but it still would occassionally get stuck calling a single number over and over.
The method for enforcing registration is to delay each call for one second for each day utilized. On my third use of the program, 40 days had gone by and this made it very hard to babysit the program to make sure it did not **** anyone off. As it was, one club member called back irritated.
I don't recommend this program until the developer can solve the bugs in the program. It needs more testing!
