Have you ever been bidding on that hard-to-find, absolutely-perfect-for-that-special-person birthday gift, only to have some sniper zip in with two seconds left and steal it from you? All those hours you spent monitoring your bids and your budget, gone for naught.
If that situation is a recurrent nightmare for you, Auction Sentry might be what you need. It manages your eBay bids, showing the item number, name, price, high bids, and time remaining, in a familiar spreadsheet layout with control buttons on top. The simple interface lets you quickly access and monitor numerous auctions, and track your profits--or losses. Audio and visual signals alert you to new bids or auction closure, and the customizable sniping feature combined with clock synchronization ensures that you'll never lose an item to AuntMillie142 again.
In future versions, we'd like to be able to arrange bids by category and see a search feature integrated with eBay's own engine, but there aren't any major drawbacks here. You really only need Auction Sentry if you're an eBay junkie, but these days, who isn't?

"Simply the best Auction bidding software on Earth!!"
Pros: I read the Reviews here on Download.com, at the Auction Sentry website, and on eBay, and that sealed the deal.
Now to the program licensing features, you get your lifetime product license key immediately after you buy the program. The fact Dan offers a lifetime license and that license is good for up to 3 computers - how about that folks with big families like mine who fight over 2 computers?!?! Also if your computer crashes or you get a new computer, Dan has you covered there too!!
Now to how the program actually works when bidding. It is a very simple program to use once you get the hang of it, and the extensive built in Help function, as well as the Auction Sentry website Help and FAQ's won't let you down. Dan even guides you to an auction he hosts on eBay so you can set the exact optimal time of your sniping bids. After following the instructions to set the perfect sniping time, and since I have DSL, I set Auction Sentry to bid with just 3 seconds left in the auctions to really see what it could do...I won BOTH separate auctions!!.
Bottom line, you can't go wrong with this program, as Dan keeps it running very, very smoothly, and updates it very fast when eBay changes their procedures. It automatically searches for updates, has a small size, is expertly written, and has 1st class customer service...Dan E-mailed me back within 12 hours after I sent him a question before I actually bought the program.
If you buy or sell on eBay, you need this jewel to help you save lots of money. In the 2 auctions I've won; Auction Sentry has already paid for itself!!

"Does what it says and service follow through is AAAAA"
Pros: Saves me a lot of time and keeps me updated as regularly as I want about the status of bids on as many items as I ever need to monitor. Places bids on time and warns me if I'm out bid. Also keeps my records of past bids, successful or not, for reference. If you have a problem (like I wiped my disk), Dan is quick off the mark to respond and solve the problem, unlike many other software and hardware suppliers. Good product + Good service = Value

"User friendly, easy to use, quick to set up, great value for money"
Pros: This is a cheap way of managing your auctions - I've used it for years and have never had a problem (other than when my broadband provider had an outage and it obviously didn't bid!). It has just the right amount of features for eBay buyers. Haven't used it to sell (other than to track bids on items being sold) as I create it all in html and publish thrugh eBay.
Also I've had a couple of problems with my hard-drive and lost the Registration Key, but Dan has a really easy system to retrieve the key which is great - I didn't lost a day of bargaining ;)
If you're umm'ing and ar-ing about whether to get it, I'd say stop wasting time and buy now!
Cons: None - at this price, it suits my needs perfectly.

Pros: Easy and fun to use, after playing around with it for just a few minutes. Now I win more auctions! It auto updates/refreshes at user selected intervals. No more manual refreshing. Good sound effects you can't miss. Lets you sort columns easily. You can select the exact time you want your bid to kick in. I was away all day Saturday, Auction Sentry made my bid and won my auction for me in my absence.
There is an advanced version I want to trial and I am definately purchasing one of the two. Get the upperhand on auctions, as long as you don't bid against me!! :) Don't miss this one it's a real winner!
Cons: No true cons to speak of, just a wish list. Would like an option to show thumbnail photos with the listings.
Or to resize the columns and lock them.
Pros outweigh cons for sure.
