Ashampoo Magical UnInstall completely monitors each new installation. This is ensured by the system remembering each single change to the system. But thats not all to it: Installations can be completely undone, if requested. This means: If you leave uninstallation of software to Ashampoo Magical UnInstall, the system will look afterwards the same as before installation, i.e. no single unused file will remain on the system. Automatically recognizes a retrieved SETUP.EXE or INSTALL.EXE programme and records the following installation. The tool may be configurated in such a way as to recognize also installation programmes with any other names. Any uninstallation can be undone at any time using the ReInstaller tool. Automatic checking for available updates online. Installation screen starts with installation and records any changes to the system. Any newly-installed add-ons, plug-ins or patches can be added to installation recordings at a later stage

"More Miss than Hit"

Does decent job in removing programs of which installation it monitors.
Cons
On its own, misses program installations 1/2 of time. Does not know how to remove programs of which installation it failed to monitor. It is completely murky what tasks it carries out during the unistallations. After it starting backup, it won't stop
Summary
This program is mostly a waste of time on the part of a potential customer. It appears, at least to me, that installations done prior to the installation of Ashampoo need to be removed outside of the Ashampoo. Help is a disaster - when you try to learn how the program operates, it starts activating its functions that take forever.

Pros
Compares your system state before and after an installation and creates an uninstall log, so if you want to uninstall a program, you can be sure everything will be deleted that was associated with that program.
Cons
No control over what gets associated with a specific installation in the uninstall log, so it sometimes deletes things that should've stayed.
Summary
Used it on Windows 7 and the results were disastrous! The new, paid version is compatible with Windows 7, but I'll skip it. Revo Uninstaller gives you control over what gets deleted after an installation.

"Looks good- works poorly"

Dosen't try to up-sell to the "pro" version. Not "bloatware" where they add other medicore utilities that you dont really need. All you see is the basic uninstall functions when you click on the system tray icon.
Cons
No confidence that you were really getting a complete uninstall because of all the error dialogs that appear during the uninstall process.
Summary
Claimed to track changes to the registry and system during installation of a program for a more complete uninstallation. I was impressed by the speed of the scans for pre and post installs compared to others that claim to use the same technique. Good idea but when I tried it for a few uninstalls, I kept getting error dialog boxes written entirely in German!!

Nothing! I couldn't even uninstall it! Every time I tried ireceved the followig error:

Unable to uninstall it. Maybe that's why they are giving it free!
Summary
4. cons probably explains it. However, Ashampoo is still a favourite of mine and credit were credit is due they did frward a 'mini e-zip' programme til enable me to erase it.
