Alarm Clock Pro is as much an organizational tool as it is an alarm clock. At its most basic, this multi-purpose application lets you set an alarm for a certain time (specific or relative), warning you with anything from a default beep to a song from iTunes. You can pick from a variety of sounds, with a customizable snooze, but the real muscle behind Alarm Clock Pro is the huge range of actions that it can take when an alarm goes off: everything from sending a text message to opening a specific Web site, taking a security screenshot of your desktop and e-mailing it to you, playing an iTunes playlist, shutting down or restarting your computer, speaking a line of text, even performing shell commands and more. In addition, Alarm Clock Pro gives you a stopwatch, timer, swim clock (a full-screen clock), and many options for a persistent clock on your desktop (everything from an old grandfather clock to a time bomb). You also get extras like a Task List that can prompt you with random to-dos, as well as a Chronoindex (to track relative times--so for example, you can always know how old you are, or how long its been since your last backup, down to the second). Alarm Clock Pros interface is visually attractive, but its something of a kitchen sink given this applications almost overwhelming number of features. Fortunately, extensive online help walks you through Alarm Clock Pro's functionality. Users looking for a less ambitious alarm clock would do well to check out the free Lite version.Publisher's description
