"Too complex to learn for one flowchart for semester."

Good Program, but too complex for my purposes??

I'm an Instructor in entry level Visual Basic classes. I wanted a FREE program for students to work on one flow chart for the semester without a huge learning curve. They only will touch the flow chart 3 times, an original, an intermediate fix, and a finalized flow chart.
I decided the Draw program in Open Office would be much easier all the way around for students to learn and use for this purpose.Summary
Open Office was a much better selection for my purposes, one Flow Chart for the semester from my students. Oo is simple, FREE, easy to learn by students without a huge amount of Instructor support, and easily accessed by the Instructor.

i thought it is nice and i like it.

i installed successfully with no error. but when i run this for the first time it is not working and showing a message like "Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file missing or invaild"

no drag and drop, no moving, resizing... its basically MS paint
no undo
the eraser doesnt work, its just a button

all in all this was a complete waste of time. You can't undo anything, and MS paint is a lot better than this. You can't re-size shapes, move them once theyve been dropped, or anything like that.

This software main strength is the same as its main weakness - it is totally manual. If you need to be able to create a flowchart completely manually by picking your own shapes and lines, then this will work for you. There are circumstances where that can be useful as you are only bound by your own creativity.
Cons
First you need to get it to work by downloading missing VB runtime files. Once it is running, there is no automation of any kind for flowchart creating. So if you are looking for something beyond simple drag and drop shapes this is not for you.

I'm not a programmer and I couldn't begin to make even this, but there's got to be something better out there.
As opposed to similar (shareware) available tools, Quickflow DOESN'T have a click-and-copy feature, a click-and-cut
feature, a resize, a move, a re-shape, a solid shape fill, an undo, or any of many things you would expect and need to make
a even a passable flow chart. It DOES have something you would find very useful if you downloaded it... an ERASER
feature...
but you'd probably wear that out real fast. I will send it to the recycle bin as soon as I finish this review.
But HEY! There's always good 'ol PhotoShop!
In summary, QUICKFLOW belies its name.
