We like a good Dilbert cartoon as much as anyone, but there are better ways to read your favorite funnies than this freeware RSS app. ComicReader is clearly a work in progress. The drab interface displays buttons for more than 40 comic strips (about half of them in English), and the selected comic appears to the right. Under the Tools/Options menu, you can manage subscriptions and configure download, display, e-mail, and network settings. Subscribing and unsubscribing comics is fairly easy, as is automatically saving them to disk. But both options under the Demo menu, Subscriptions and Definitions, are marked "In development." There's no help file, and the publisher's Web site wasn't available. ComicReader's biggest problem, however, is molasses-slow performance. For the time being, we'd recommend sticking to RSS readers or a Web browser for that daily Calvin and Hobbes fix.
Download, read, and manage various daily comics. The ComicReader is a program to read daily comics like Garfield, Dilbert, Userfriendly and lots of other daily comics. The comicreader has unique features like autodownloading the comics, central managed comic definitions and the option to email comics.
