BugHunter is a DOS based malware scanner which has a frequently updated database of signatures as well as engine updates. The program is designed to quickly scan for and optionally disable/remove any malware found. BugHunter is able to detect Browser Hijackers (BHO's), Rogue programs, Adware, Keyloggers, Spyware (including some commercial ones), Rootkits which are file based, malicious java/html/vb scripts, and various worms. As BugHunter is DOS based and does not require installation of any sort, it can easily be copied to various media and used to disinfect other systems without those systems having potentially harmful code present in memory. BugHunter gets along fine with most memory resident programs, and supports being run from a boot diskette/cdrom, such as BartPE.
Working in a DOS window allows this tool to find a few nasty bugs that other scanners cannot either find or remove.
Cons
Limited usage, slow, tool of last resort.
Summary
Use this tool when other scanners have failed to clean or remove nasty threats. It does work, and can remove a few things other scanners cannot dislodge. Never rely on this as a mainline, regular daily scanner. Use known, thorough scanners like Spybot or Adaware.

very nice antimalware app
redneckrockerphil
Pros
this is a very good antimalware app, as a freelance computer technician i like to have some antimalware apps that i can copy to a floppy and take with me to a job, and this is able to do just that. it checks files againts a very comprehensive database of known malware and gives you the option to ignore, disable or remove known malware, and since it's DOS based i'm able to scan an entire computer without having to install it, very nice
